3. PURPOSE FOR COLLECTION OF DATA
In order for Hoopla Digital to display advertising on our partner websites we may collect certain information from you. This data helps us to perform a number of essential functions such as;
Limit the number of times you see the same ad,
Ensure you see only geographically relevant ads,
Serve ads in a sequential manner (such as a progressive story told via the ads you see),
Measure and analyse the effectiveness and relevancy of our advertising campaigns,
Ensure our advertising campaigns are displayed only within brand safe environments,
Measure if our ads are viewable to users,
Optimise website and mobile app experiences
Unless the advertising and / or partner websites are targeted towards users under 13 years of age, we may also use this data to tailor and enhance your online experience and deliver ads that we believe are more relevant to you and your interests. For example, if you have visited one of our sports focused partner sites, or interacted with one of our sports focused ads, we may display sports related ads to you when you visit other sites within our network in the future.
We may also request and collect your email address in order to send you materials related to the ads you have interacted with, such as money off e-vouchers to which you have specifically requested and consented to receive. In these instances, we request minimal data from you, such as your email address, solely for the purpose of sending you the e-voucher. Once the requested material has been sent to you, your data is immediately deleted from our systems.
In order for us to process your data, you normally will have already consented to data processing by accepting cookies or similar technologies from one of our partner sites.
We and our publisher partners and advertising clients also have a legitimate interest to display advertising to you, which does not conflict with your legal rights, as advertising keeps many of the websites and services you use free of charge.
You can change your preferences in relation to the personal data we and our partners collect at any time as set out in Section 8 below.
4. TYPE OF DATA COLLECTED
Hoopla Digital collects data from you when you access and interact with our partner sites and advertising campaigns. This data comprises device and browser specific data such as IP address, browser type, OS type, unique device identifier and cookie IDs.
We do not collect any personally identifiable data, such as name, address, email address etc. unless this is specifically requested by you in order to receive materials related to the ads you have interacted with, such as money off e-vouchers. In these instances, we request minimal data from you, such as your email address, solely for the purpose of sending you the e-voucher.
We also do not collect or process personal data or create data segments from children under 13 years of age or any special category personal data, which includes, but is not limited to, religious, political or genetic information.
We also use third party advertising companies to serve advertisements across our partner sites. These third parties may also use non-personally identifiable information to provide advertisements that may be of interest to you.

Visual DNA: We use VisualDNA to collect information regarding the types of users on our partner sites. This allows us to gain aggregated insight into the various audience groups each site reaches (such as sports enthusiasts, movie fans etc) to ensure we can serve the most relevant advertising campaigns across each site. However, in the event that our partner sites are targeted towards children under 13 years of age Visual DNA is not deployed across the site or any campaigns associated with such sites.
